Above is a beautiful picture of part of the Martin Grade, a 7 mile canopy of native hardwood trees that starts approximately 11 miles west of the turnpike along SW Martin Highway, from Allapatta Road west to Route 710. It is a route many residents and visitors take to Okeechobee and further west to Arcadia, and Port Charlotte, Venice, Sarasota, and Saint Petersburg on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Linda has been working hard to help the citizens preserve it and would appreciate your support when its needed.
